Engineer Carrier Contact Center

This role involves maintaining and controlling all submarine systems and networks for all cable landing stations end to end. The engineer will perform daily hands-on activities for the cable landing stations equipment — operating 24/7 across three locations in the UAE. Responsibilities include analyzing and troubleshooting subsea cable faults, coordinating with cable ships, managing hardware and software upgrades for submarine equipment, and handling day-to-day incidents and planned work related to international carrier services. Additionally, the role requires tracking planned work activities, performing health checks on submarine repeaters and branching units, and coordinating new international carrier projects including capacity upgrades and new installations.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering or equivalent, along with a minimum of 8 years of experience as an ITMC and/or cable landing station engineer. The candidate should have a deep understanding of transmission technologies and subsea cable systems, familiarity with IP technologies, and be fluent in English.

Essential skills encompass excellent knowledge of subsea cable systems, hands-on experience with test equipment, familiarity with major transmission and telecom equipment, proficiency in MS Office, and strong troubleshooting capabilities. The role requires a self-motivated, team-oriented, and results-driven individual, capable of handling several tasks under pressure while ensuring clear communication.
