Role Purpose:
The Engineer - Core Infrastructure is responsible for maintaining a Windows computing environment by identifying system requirements, installing upgrades, and monitoring system performance. This includes managing multiple mission-critical Windows servers (both physical and virtual), ensuring integration with existing systems, and providing reliable IT solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and integrate Windows servers in various platforms.
- Install and debug new/upgraded software on servers.
- Conduct growth analysis and capacity planning.
- Apply OS patches and upgrades regularly.
- Configure new services and perform preventive maintenance activities.
- Research and troubleshoot hardware and peripherals.
- Manage company storage infrastructure using SAN & NAS technology.
- Monitor corporate services availability through centralized systems.
- Provide technical consultancy for new projects and user administration tasks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in the field.
- Familiarity with different versions of Windows servers.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance.
- Expertise in hardware/software installation and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of data security and disaster recovery systems.
- Knowledge of networking systems, protocols, and applications.
- Familiarity with LAN administration and security protocols.
