Role Purpose: Maintain the Windows computing environment by identifying system requirements, installing upgrades, and monitoring system performance. Provide reliable, durable, and cost-effective IT solutions. Perform various system administration activities and other administrative duties within the IT Corporate Department.
Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple mission-critical Windows servers (software/hardware) in physical and virtual platforms, ensuring proper integration with existing computer systems.
- Install and debug new and/or upgraded software on servers.
- Conduct growth analysis and capacity planning.
- Apply OS patches and upgrades regularly, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities.
- Configure and add new services as necessary; perform preventive and performance maintenance activities, such as system restarts, disk cleanup, and access review.
- Research, evaluate, purchase, install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and peripherals to meet integrated systems objectives.
- Manage company storage infrastructure (SAN & NAS technology).
- Ensure corporate services availability by health monitoring via a centralized system.
- Provide technical consultancy and guidance to all departments in initiating new projects.
- Perform user administration (setup and maintenance of accounts).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the field.
- Familiarity with different versions of Windows servers.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements.
- Ability to design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure and services.
- Expertise in hardware & software installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of data security and disaster recovery systems and procedures.
- Knowledge of network systems, protocols, and applications.
- Knowledge and understanding of LAN administration in secure environments.
- Ability to diagnose computer problems and coordinate hardware/software solutions.
- Understanding of systems security protocols, policies, and procedures.
- Knowledge of systems growth analysis and capacity planning processes.
- Familiarity with relevant multi-user computer systems and equipment.
- Knowledge of data management techniques.
- Ability to plan, implement, test, and troubleshoot system software.
- Understanding of computer site licensure regulations and requirements.
