About the Role
The role involves leading and managing the Facilities Management service provider responsible for facilities engineering and management activities. You will oversee the functional operations of the facilities, maintenance services, and support, ensuring high-quality service delivery in line with contractual KPIs and SLAs. Additionally, the position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to define automation strategies and improve operational efficiencies.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead and manage the Facilities Management service provider to provide facilities engineering/management activities, including corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance, capital projects, subcontract management, project management assistance, and spares/consumables management.
  • Full responsibility for the Managed Services organization within the designated geographical area/circle(s).
  • Ensure the delivery of contracted services and maintain performance metrics in adherence to established KPIs/SLA’s.
  • Manage all Facilities Contracts and contractors, including reviewing processes for various systems such as Electromechanical systems, UPS, Site security, waste management, HVAC, and others.
  • Lead and mentor a team of automation engineers to enhance performance and professional growth.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define automation strategies, prioritize impactful projects, and gather technical input for change management processes.
  • Research building systems for potential energy improvements, modernization, and equipment upgrades.
  • Assist in developing budgets and operational plans to enhance facility efficiency and cost reduction.
  • Act as a communication link between the line manager, FLM partners, and building management to relay all pertinent information regarding operations and maintenance.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement through automation, analyzing workflows to enhance productivity and accuracy.
  • Work with cross-functional teams, including operations, engineering, IT, and project management, to align automation strategies with organizational objectives and ensure project success.
  • Supervise electrical maintenance and repair work performed by electricians and contractors, ensuring compliance with company specifications and standards.
  • Ensure adequate supplies of stores and spare parts for maintenance and repair works, initiating necessary materials requisitions for stock replenishment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Electromechanical Engineering.

Experience

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in an engineering role within the telecommunications industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical works execution for infrastructure supporting telecommunications networks.
  • Familiarity with No Objection Certification processes in the UAE.
  • Proficient in Office tools (MS PowerPoint, MS Project, MS Office, and Excel).
  • Knowledge about electromechanical systems and civil works-related systems.
  • Experience with site surveying instruments using GPS technology.
  • Understanding of active telecommunications networks and the EM Part supporting operations.

Skills

  • Proficient in English (conversation, reading, writing) with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong technical knowledge of electromechanical works standards and specifications for networks.
  • Ability to coordinate, prioritize multiple tasks while being analytical, self-motivated, and quality-focused.
  • Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team to achieve results and meet targets.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with GIS systems and network engineering applications.
  • Strong project management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
