About the Job
As an Engineer in Fixed Access Support, you will serve as a Subject Matter Expert in Fixed Access and GPON Setup, resolving network and customer trouble tickets (TTs) for GPON, P2P enterprise, and consumer setups. This role involves interacting with Customer Assurance teams, performing customer TT analysis and troubleshooting for Fixed Access and IIB nodes, running health checks on owned nodes, and providing timely support for all issues in the Fixed Access domain. You will be responsible for conducting performance report analysis to proactively prevent issues and oversee the provisioning of reports for capacity planning.

Additionally, you will ensure problem resolution within contracted SLAs, maintain documentation of existing devices, review new network elements, and assist in developing technical documentation and reports. Support for disaster recovery runbooks during crises will also be part of your responsibilities.

Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Electronics, or Telecommunication Engineering.
- Leadership and management certifications.
Experience
- Minimum 8 years of experience in the Telecom Domain.
- CCIE preferred.
- More than 5-7 years of experience in Routing and Switching.
- Experience in relationship management within and outside the organization.
Skills
- Experience with legacy platforms including N7K, N5K, 7600, 6500, 3750, 2960 routers and switches.
- Knowledge of Juniper, Cisco, Huawei, and Fortinet firewalls.
- Proficiency in IIB and GPON technologies for Nokia, Cisco, and Huawei.
- CCNA is a must; CCIE preferred.
- Experience in MPLS networks along with handling related routers and switches.
- Familiarity with Routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, BFD, with expertise in configurations.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication skills and customer-focused approach.
- Ability to manage multiple complex problems in high-pressure situations.
