Engineer Fixed & Transport Monitoring

This position involves monitoring and managing critical network alarms to ensure efficient incident handling in a telecommunications environment. The engineer will provide timely support for issues across all domains while maintaining connectivity through IP. Responsibilities include managing escalations, conducting incident analysis, and maintaining documentation to assist in daily operations. The role emphasizes proactive problem prevention, vendor performance monitoring, and preparation for network disasters to ensure service restoration. The engineer will also support disaster recovery activities and ensure adherence to service levels during incidents.

Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Qualifications: A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer, Electrical, Network Engineering, or related IT fields is required, along with CCNP certification (CCIE preferred).

Experience: At least 5 years in IP networking within the telecommunications sector, with in-depth knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols and familiarity with ACI technology, firewalls, and load balancers.

Skills: The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, effective teamwork, and communication skills. An understanding of security infrastructure and the capacity to manage complex problems in stressful situations is essential. The role requires a customer-focused approach and an analytical mindset.

Summary: As the first level of support in the Service Operation Center, this role is vital for responding to fault alarms and managing incident processes in the company Transport Network across various service platforms and data centers, while ensuring effective problem resolution and network reliability.
