The Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of solutions across multiple ServiceNow modules (ex. ESC, ITSM, IRM, BCM) and other platform capabilities (ex. App Engine, Now Assist). The purpose of this role is to ensure that all requests for features and functionality on ServiceNow are delivered according to best practices, documented for future maintenance and improvement, and that user instructions are provided for end-user training.

Responsibilities

Development and Configuration:
- Design and develop solutions on the ServiceNow platform using client scripts, business rules, and UI policies.
- Develop using standard ServiceNow tools, ex. Flow Designer, Workflow Editor, UI Builder, Now Create.
- Configure and customize the ServiceNow platform to meet business requirements.
- Maintain and update the platform as needed.

Integration and Automation:
- Build integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, Integration Hub, and MID server.
- Connect ServiceNow with third-party systems (ex. Monitoring system, HR system).
- Build orchestration and automated workflows to improve process efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure seamless data flow between the ServiceNow platform and other systems.

Custom Application Development:
- Develop scoped applications using App Engine Studio, Now Create, etc.
- Create custom tables, forms, and workflows.
- Build end-to-end business solutions beyond out-of-the-box modules.

User Training and Support:
- Train stakeholders and solution requestors on how to effectively use the developed solutions.
- Develop user guides and training materials.
- Provide ongoing support and assistance to platform users.

Compliance and Security:
- Ensure the developed solutions comply with relevant security standards and regulations.
- Implement security measures to protect sensitive data within the platform.
Qualifications

Education / Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL Foundation, ServiceNow CSA, CAD, CIS-ITSM, CIS-ITOM) are highly desirable.

Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in a technical ServiceNow developer role.
