Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to all the company Gateways and UBS to perform maintenance/troubleshooting.
- Maintain the RF systems function to ensure operational efficiency and 24/7 system availability.
- Coordinate and execute the technical operation, ensuring the integrity and reliability of the systems.
- Involve in the construction, installation, and testing of new equipment or modification of existing equipment.
- Carry out all emergency/corrective maintenance as required in the field of expertise.
- Perform periodic preventive maintenance activities for all the company gateways.
- Support proper root cause analysis done and agreed by all stakeholders before closure on a regular basis.
- Ensure alternative solutions are in place for any EOS, EOSL, and EOL parts with RF systems.
- Support commercial contracts renewals, negotiations, and service level agreements.
- Provide new ideas and initiatives to dynamically develop the RF team, reduce CAPEX/OPEX costs, and minimize operational risks.
- Support junior team members for learning and development.
- Provide 24/7 operation support (local or remotely), being on-site whenever needed for operational purposes.
- Maintain coordination of all site-wide support ground equipment, including power, UPS, cooling, and air conditioning systems.
- Coordinate with NOCs, service providers, and contractors for scheduling maintenance or troubleshooting activities.
- Involve in procurement processes including sourcing, negotiation, and technical compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Telecommunications.
- A minimum of 5-7 years in operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of RF/Broadcast/SATCOM systems with at least 2 years of project experience.
- Good organizational, multi-tasking, and communication skills.
Technical Competency
- Experience in maintenance (corrective/preventive) and troubleshooting.
- Proficient in operating and maintaining local and remote baseband, IF, and RF antennas.
- Adept at using test & measurement tools such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power meters, and calibration equipment.
- Experience in maintenance operations including response time and decision making in emergency situations.
