RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with Senior Engineers and Design teams to define analysis requirements, load cases, and acceptance criteria.
  • Perform static, dynamic, modal/vibration, and thermal/thermo-mechanical analysis; relevant practical experience is essential.
  • Conduct fatigue, buckling, and nonlinear/contact analysis.
  • Define boundary conditions, material properties, contacts, meshing strategy, and convergence criteria and ensure appropriate FEA modelling practices.
  • Perform engineering calculations, load-path assessment, structural sizing, and factor-of-safety calculations to validate simulation results.
  • Evaluate stress, strain, deformation, stiffness, natural frequencies, durability, and structural margins, and recommend design improvements.
  • Support design optimization, weight reduction, failure investigations, and root-cause analysis.
  • Correlate FEA results with physical testing and support prototype validation and qualification.
  • Prepare analysis reports and present technical recommendations during design reviews.
  • Experience in blast, shock, and impact analysis for defense applications would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of materials, GD&T, manufacturing, welding/fabrication, and DFM/DFA would be an advantage.
  • Experience in CAD/PLM, reverse engineering, 3D scanning, and 3D printing would be an advantage.
  • Implement and monitor mitigating measures identified through risk treatment and approved risk-management processes.
  • Report operational risks and follow approved risk-management procedures, including applicable ISO 31000 and ISO 45001 requirements.
  • Support other members of the Engineering Department and perform other duties as required.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of company information.
  • Learn, understand, and comply with contractual obligations and established Quality and HSE standards.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Automotive / Mechatronics Engineering is essential; relevant Master’s Degree would be an advantage.
  • Minimum 10+ years relevant engineering experience is essential, with strong practical FEA/structural-analysis expertise.
  • Automotive, defense, heavy-vehicle, or special-purpose vehicle experience would be an advantage.
  • Strong experience with ANSYS or equivalent CAE software is essential.
  • Experience with Creo Simulation, Creo, and Windchill would be an advantage.
  • Experience with Geomagic Design X, Control X, and Artec Studio would be an advantage.
