Engineer II Electrical & Electronics Engineering

This engineering position involves hands-on experience in protection relay programming, configuration, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting for medium voltage (MV) and low voltage (LV) protection systems. The successful candidate will work with protection relays from leading manufacturers including ABB, Siemens, and Schneider Electric, utilizing platforms such as ABB Relion, Siemens SIPROTEC, and Schneider Easergy/SEPAM, among others. Candidates should possess strong knowledge of protection schemes, including but not limited to overcurrent, earth fault, directional protection, under/over-voltage, and transformer protection.

Responsibilities include interpreting single line diagrams (SLDs), protection schematics, control schematics, and wiring diagrams, as well as conducting various forms of testing including secondary injection testing and end-to-end protection testing.

The role requires a B.E./B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering and 7–12 years of relevant experience in programming, testing, commissioning, and maintaining protection and control systems, particularly in MV switchgear and relay panels. Candidates should also be proficient in industrial communication networks and various protocols, such as Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP/IP, and IEC 61850, to configure and troubleshoot communication in protection systems.

The ideal candidate will be highly experienced in the full lifecycle of protection systems, capable of performing relay programming, setting implementations, and system validations independently. Preference will be given to those with additional experience in MV switchgear manufacturing and system integration.
