Job Duties
- Review and Approval of the Contractor’s proposed materials and methods as delegated by the Resident Engineer.
- Prepare Material Engineer’s Daily Diary.
- Provide general oversight of the Contractor’s daily activities, including works assignments, on-site performance, and guidance on supervising the Contractor’s operations.
- Attend factory visits and suppliers’ plant inspections as required.
- Follow up testing and approvals from relevant authorities.
- Review Contractor’s testing requests and subsequent completed reports.
- Review and Approval of the Contractor’s submissions as delegated by the Resident Engineer.
- Monitor the performance of material delivery and accuracy of materials used on-site.
- Coordinate with Contractor’s supervisory personnel regarding schedule, sequence, and method of work.
- Monitor conformance with the Contractor’s schedule.
- Conduct continuous field inspections of the work in progress and consult with both the Resident Engineer’s and Contractor’s supervisory staff.
- Prepare written and oral reports to the Resident Engineer on contractual and procedural matters.
Qualifications
- Relevant BSc Degree from a recognized university.
- Must hold Dubai Central Laboratory approval.
Experience
- A minimum of 10 years of work experience in design, construction, and supervision of roads, bridges, and infrastructure.
- Comprehensive knowledge of existing infrastructure networks in the Emirates of Dubai.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in the conduct of quality inspections with hands-on experience in ISO9000 quality systems.
