About the Role
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will work under general supervision to perform routine engineering duties while utilizing your knowledge and skills to evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques that align with construction specifications. You will be responsible for independently conducting walk-downs and inspections of installed commodities to ensure their conformance with established specifications and designs. Your role will also include performing quantity surveys for tracking and reporting purposes, and you may provide technical direction to drafters, technicians, and surveyors as needed.

Responsibilities
- Perform routine engineering duties under general supervision.
- Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to meet basic engineering and construction specifications.
- Use professional judgment on work details.
- Independently carry out walk-downs and inspections of installed commodities for compliance with specifications and designs.
- Conduct quantity surveys for tracking and reporting.
- Offer technical direction to drafters, technicians, and surveyors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer in building construction site supervision.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems in commercial and residential buildings (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, etc.).
- Experience in preparing technical reports and construction documentation.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced construction environment.
- Experience with construction projects in the United Arab Emirates.
