Engineer, Mechanical Quantity Surveying

About the Role
The role involves leading Quantity Surveying (QS) works at the site to ensure project delivery within budget and to achieve project goals. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the QS Manager, Project Management Team (PMT), contractors, and other stakeholders to oversee both the QS site work and QS control responsibilities.

QS Site Work Responsibilities

• Lead QS works at site to deliver the project within project budget quantities.
• Work closely with the QS Manager and PMT, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Study and validate Tender Documents for Company Projects.
• Preparation of bills of quantities.
• Verify Quantities for purchase requests versus Project Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
• Manage materials packaging.
• Update Variation Order (VO) Log.
• Update Interim Payment Certificate (IPC) Log and report for projects.
• Review and validate Sub Contractors' IPCs.
• Verify IPC documents (Drawings, Material Inspection Requests (MIRs) & Work Inspection Requests (WIRs) & earned quantities).
• Prepare VO Documents.
• Review and validate VOs with QS at site for projects.
• Prepare invoices and invoicing reports for projects.
• Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors.

QS Control Responsibilities

• Monitor and control Project BOQ, Purchase Requests (PRs), IPCs, client invoicing, and VOs to achieve project goals.
• Work closely with the QS Manager to ensure quality standards are met.
• Collaborate with the Cost Control department to maintain alignment of all data with their reports.
• Verify Quantities for purchase requests versus Project BOQ.
• Update VOs Log.
• Update IPCs Log and reports for projects.
• Review and validate VOs with QS at site for projects.
• Prepare invoices and invoicing reports for projects.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of projects-related quantities.
