The Engineer - Quality Assurance is a technical role focused on leading QA efforts and ensuring the integrity of products through rigorous testing and validation processes. This role involves working closely with development, product management, and other teams to establish and execute QA plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive QA strategies and plans.
- Define testing methodologies, standards, and best practices.
- Ensure QA processes align with business goals and strategic objectives.
- Lead the creation and execution of test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Perform manual and automated testing to validate product functionality, performance, and reliability.
- Identify, document, and track defects and issues to resolution.
- Communicate QA strategies, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders and senior management.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of QA processes, test cases, and results.
- Utilize data-driven insights to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement.
Skills and Attributes for Success:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in quality assurance and testing.
- Proven track record of implementing and managing QA practices in a complex environment.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
- Proficiency in QA tools and technologies (e.g., Playwright, Selenium, Pytest, JMeter, JUnit, TestNG).
- Prior experience in data validation/ETL testing and SQL.
- Experience in Cloud technologies like Azure.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
