About the role:
This position involves providing System Maintenance Support, Technical Support, contracts and technical bid evaluation, supervision, and performance management in the field of Real-time Process Information Management Systems and Laboratory Information Management Systems. The successful candidate will assess current systems for obsolescence, manage the audit of system performance, and develop necessary documentation for system modifications.

System Maintenance Support:
- Assess existing systems including Telecommunication and Telemetry, ICS and DCS, Process Control Systems, and Real-Time Plant Information and Laboratory Management Systems for obsolescence and vendor support.
- Audit system performance and identify opportunities for process performance monitoring and improvements.
Technical Support:
- Support the development and updating of technical specifications, including conducting economic feasibility studies for application viability.
- Develop system functional specifications, design documentation, user manuals, and training materials for modifications.
- Provide technical and engineering expertise in optimization, alarm management, control loop performance monitoring, and higher-level MES applications.
Contracts & Technical Bid Evaluation:
- Develop scopes of work and tender documents, participate in technical bid evaluations, and coordinate the implementation of approved projects to ensure timely completion within budget.
Supervision:
- Plan, supervise, and coordinate activities in the assigned area to achieve functional objectives.
- Train and develop assigned staff to enhance their proficiency and achieve section objectives.
Budgets:
- Provide input for department budgets and assist in their implementation.
- Investigate significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures:
- Implement approved section policies, processes, systems, standards, and procedures to support the execution of work programs.
- Ensure compliance with applicable legislation and legal regulations.
Performance Management:
- Contribute to achieving approved Performance Objectives in line with the Company Performance framework.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
- Design and implement new tools and techniques for improving operational processes.
- Identify internal process improvements against best practices to enhance efficiency under ISO standards.
Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability:
- Adhere to relevant HSE policies and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards and the company Code of Practices.
Reports:
- Provide inputs for the preparation of Section MIS and progress reports for Company Management.
Minimum Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electronics, Electrical, Controls, or Automation).
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in design, installation, commissioning, operations, maintenance, testing, and CS validation philosophies related to automation systems within a large industrial organization, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry.
