About the role:
As a part of the organization, you will assess and maintain existing systems such as Telecommunication and Telemetry, ICS and DCS, Process Control Systems, and Real-Time Plant Information and Laboratory Management Systems to ensure their reliability and compliance with both the company and International standards. Your role will involve auditing system performance, identifying opportunities for process monitoring and improvements, and offering technical support for the development and updating of technical specifications.

System Maintenance Support
- Assess existing systems for obsolescence, spare parts availability, vendor support, inter-operability, and integration.
- Audit system performance and identify opportunities for enhancement to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
Technical Support
- Provide support in developing and updating technical specifications and conduct economic feasibility studies for applications.
- Develop system functional specifications, design & as-built documentation, user manuals, and training materials for minor modifications to existing applications.
- Coordinate with site maintenance personnel for vendor support and system modifications and upgrades.
- Provide technical expertise to plants regarding Real-time Process Information Management and Laboratory Information Management systems.
- Deliver operational, technical, and engineering expertise in Optimization, Alarm Management, Control Loop Performance Monitoring, and higher-level MES applications.
Contracts & Technical Bid Evaluation
- Develop scopes of work and tender documents, and participate in technical bid evaluations to meet system requirements.
- Coordinate the implementation of approved projects, including installation and commissioning, ensuring timely completion within budget.
Supervision
- Plan, supervise, and coordinate activities within the assigned area to achieve functional objectives.
- Train and develop staff on relevant skills to enhance proficiency and achieve section objectives.
Budgets
- Contribute to the preparation of Department budgets and help implement approved budgets and work plans.
- Investigate and report on significant variances to support performance and cost control.
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
- Implement approved Section policies, processes, systems, standards, and procedures to support the execution of Section work programs.
- Ensure compliance with applicable legislation and regulations.
Performance Management
- Contribute to achieving approved Performance Objectives for the Section aligned with the company Performance framework.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
- Design and implement new tools and techniques to enhance operational efficiency and quality.
- Identify process improvements and align them with ISO standards to foster greater efficiency.
Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability
- Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures, controls, and applicable legislation in line with international standards and best practices.
Reports
- Provide necessary inputs to prepare Section MIS and progress reports for company Management.
Minimum Qualification
Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electronics, Electrical, Controls, or Automation).
- Minimum 4 years of experience in designing, installing, commissioning, and maintaining automation systems within a large industrial organization, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry.
