Responsibilities:

  • Contribute directly to the design, development, validation, and enhancement of the company's satellite communication products and solutions, including handheld, vehicular, maritime, and IoT/M2M terminals operating over the GEO satellite network.
  • Support end-to-end product development of satellite terminals, contributing to design validation, feature integration, and readiness for production.
  • Collaborate with product engineering teams to define, review, and refine technical requirements and specifications.
  • Conduct lab and field validation for voice, data, GPS, and network performance under varying environmental and mobility conditions.
  • Perform functional, performance, and compliance testing on hardware, firmware, and software to ensure product reliability and user experience.
  • Troubleshoot and analyze defects in hardware and firmware, driving root cause analysis and corrective actions with development teams.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for component testing, firmware integration, and production ramp-up.
  • Document and report test results, feedback, and improvement actions throughout the product development cycle.
  • Contribute to product certification and regulatory compliance (Satellite, GMR, ETSI, CE, etc.).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, or related Engineering discipline.
  • 4–8 years of experience in product development, testing, or validation within the satellite communications, RF, or telecom industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of satellite communication systems.
  • Experienced in utilizing advanced RF test and measurement instrumentation for hardware validation, performance analysis, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with Agile development environments and iterative product release cycles.

Technical Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of GEO satellite architecture, L-band communications, and terminal-to-satellite integration.
  • Experience across the full product development lifecycle, including concept, design, prototyping, validation, and production.
  • Hands-on expertise in hardware and firmware integration testing, including power systems, RF performance, and GPS module validation.
  • Ability to translate customer and market requirements into detailed technical specifications and product documentation.
  • Knowledge of telecom and satellite handset regulatory standards and certification processes such as GMR, ETSI, and CE.
  • Proven experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in design, testing, manufacturing, and supply chain to ensure design-for-manufacture/design-for-test readiness.
  • Advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis capabilities to resolve hardware, firmware, and performance-related issues.
  • Experience in coordinating with vendors and suppliers for component testing, validation, and managing prototype and production delivery schedules.
