Key Accountabilities
- Monitor RAN Network (2G/3G/4G/5G/FTTA) of Nokia/Huawei/Ericsson RAN Nodes.
- Monitor access transmission nodes through U2000, NFMP.
- Monitor WiFi Access Points and OFDM wireless transmission links using tools like PRTG and Cisco Prime.
- Perform network/service surveillance and alarm handling, ensuring reporting within agreed SLAs based on ticket priority.
- Verify mobile services after Change Request activities.
- Act as the initial contact for transmission faults, isolating fault locations and providing technical support to field teams for troubleshooting.
- Execute traffic rerouting, microwave link capacity upgrades, and node version upgrades.
- Timely escalation of critical network issues to service partners, stakeholders, and management as per the company escalation matrix.
- Control and support reactive or planned activities.
- Perform additional tasks assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Telecom Engineering.
Experience
- At least 3 years of strong telecom knowledge and experience with Nokia, Huawei, and Ericsson 2G/3G/4G/5G/FTTA technologies.
- Experience in the wireless network within the telecom/communication industry.
- Ability to work effectively in a 24 x 7 x 365 environment.
- 3 years of experience monitoring RAN nodes from major vendors.
Skills
- Strong knowledge and experience with:
- Huawei, Nokia, Redline, and Infinet (PTP) Wireless products.
- Cisco access points (indoor and outdoor).
- Monitoring tools such as Huawei NCE, NFMP, PRTG, and Cisco Prime.
- OSS Tools (Netact, U2020, Taishan, and ENM).
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and follow through on each task assigned.
- Knowledge of network implementation and integration processes.
- Monitor all day-to-day activities within the Service Operations Centre.
- Liaise effectively between the SOC and departments like Transport, Access Transmission, Core, Backbone Transmission, and L2 of Radio Access Network.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage network crises and emergencies.
