The Engineer, Reliability will ensure the reliability and availability of major instrument equipment and critical instrument systems by reviewing designs and updating maintenance strategies. Key responsibilities include monitoring data of critical equipment and systems, analyzing this data to improve repair techniques, and leading Reliability Improvement Studies (RIS). The role also involves being the focal point for all RIS activities, ensuring the implementation and effectiveness of RIS recommendations, and evaluating new technologies to continuously improve plant asset reliability.

Responsibilities:

  • Document and communicate assigned activities with timely identification and tracking.
  • Review basic inspection work, ensuring relevant engineering requirements are adhered to.
  • Maintain high HSE standards, fostering a healthy and safe work environment.
  • Participate in technical discussions with stakeholders, addressing complex issues and proposing resolutions.
  • Monitor and analyze relevant data to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve unit problems with guidance as needed.
  • Monitor and report daily assignments to senior engineers and maintain records as per established procedures.
  • Develop engineering supporting documentation and plans as directed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instrument Engineering, Control System Engineering, or equivalent.

Minimum Experience:

  • 2 years of relevant experience.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in MS Office and reliability-related software (e.g., SAP, Meridiam, RCA software).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and structured work approach.
  • Effective communication and coordination abilities.
  • Critical thinking and decision-making capabilities.
  • Skills in data gathering, analysis, and reporting.
  • Risk management and project management.
  • Knowledge of mechanical codes and standards.
  • Expertise in reliability engineering, inspection, integrity engineering, and damage mechanisms.
