Position

We are looking for a performance-driven, focused, and committed individual with a proven track record for the role of Engineer-Site Reliability at Presight. You will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of our products on a daily basis, ensuring maximum uptime of our deployments. This includes managing front-line customer incidents, taking necessary actions, and performing required system updates in the form of patches, hotfixes, or upgrades.

Responsibilities

  • Be part of the escalation, issue triage, and technical support processes, contributing to incident management.
  • Assist with prioritization of technical issues, escalate them to the engineering team, and coordinate resolutions with clients.
  • Monitor, support, and administer the production environment with initial onboarding, upgrades, and recovery for both bare metal and cloud environments.
  • Design and maintain automation code for deployment and configuration of systems (Infrastructure & Application) and services.
  • Follow production deployment procedures and ensure technical approaches adhere to network and security compliance.
  • Document day-to-day support activities and contribute to the knowledge base.
  • Comply with quality, health, safety, and environmental policies as well as governance of organizations policies and related risk assessments.

Qualifications

  • Eight (8) years of product administration experience in a Linux-based environment (RHEL, CentOS, Debian & Ubuntu).
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience as a Hadoop administrator with expert knowledge of cloud operations.
  • Prior experience with a big data platform using automation tools like Ansible and Helm Charts.
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring platforms such as Zabbix and Grafana.
  • Competency in Linux administration (security, configuration, tuning, troubleshooting, and monitoring) and basic networking troubleshooting.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
