Engineer SOC Mobile Core & Roaming Support

The purpose of this role is to monitor the roaming KPIs, alarm of the Mobile Network Nodes to ensure maximum availability. Also, provide 24x7 First Level Support Operation and Maintenance for the Core Networks.

Key Accountabilities

• Network Surveillance and Fault Rectification
• Monitoring of Mobile Core Network & Roaming KPIs
• CS/vIMS/EPC/vEPC/SPS/VAS KPIs monitoring and reporting any degradation to responsible teams
• Routine Network Check such as Health Check, Preventive Maintenance, Network Alarm Management
• Escalation to L2 support, Follow-up and coordination
• Generate, Update and Provide reports relevant to Network Operations and Maintenance
• Monitoring and troubleshooting any raised alarms on the Core nodes. Open cases for new alarm with the suitable severity

Qualifications

• Minimum B.Eng in Electronics/Telecom Engineering, preferably M.Eng or M.S. from a reputable university

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience working in SOC Roaming

Skills

• Good understanding of CS/vIMS/EPC/vEPC KPIs
• Good understanding SPS/VAS KPIs
• Good knowledge in programming and automation
• Must be able to work effectively in a 24 x 7 x 365 environment
• Ability to handle multiple tasks at once, to prioritize, and demonstrate excellent follow-through on each task assigned
• Works well within a team and ability to build relationships cross-functionally
• Ensure the operations and network KPIs are met with the highest quality and standards
• Ability to work under pressure and to handle network crises and emergencies
• Management Notification & Escalation as per the company escalation matrix
