Responsibilities
- Under general supervision, perform routine engineering duties.
- Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria for engineering and construction specifications.
- Apply sound professional judgment on work details.
- Independently conduct walk-downs and inspections of installed commodities to confirm conformance with specifications and design.
- Perform quantity surveys for reporting and tracking purposes.
- May offer technical guidance to drafters, technicians, and surveyors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Structural Engineering or equivalent; advanced post-graduate degree and membership in a recognized institution preferred, or a Master’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years of demonstrable experience in design, supervision, and project administration of structural works for large-scale projects within the Middle East/UAE, particularly in the consulting industry.
- Site experience required in basic design requirements, estimation, installation, and all site activities relevant to structural works for large building projects.
- Familiarity with all structural engineering methodologies, as well as corresponding equipment, materials, consumables, tools, and manpower allocations for structural works in building projects.
- Proficient in interpreting and executing structural-related drawings and knowledgeable about related authority requirements.
- Experience with high-rise residential and commercial buildings with a strong background in project start-up, execution, and handover.
