Key responsibilities include ensuring the security and integrity of engineering systems, collaborating with IT security teams, and leading the creation of assets in Maximo, while confirming purchase orders in collaboration with workshop supervisors. Additionally, the position requires overseeing all monthly billing activities for engineering workshops related to third parties, working closely with planning supervisors and the centralized billing team to ensure appropriate chargebacks.
The role involves organizing and ensuring the accuracy of monthly data for the Spider system, focusing on key performance indicators (KPIs), and developing, maintaining, and enhancing interactive dashboards that visualize key engineering metrics, project progress, software usage, and system health using tools like Power BI, Tableau, and Grafana.
Moreover, the engineer will control all aspects of relevant database communication and work distribution, lead collaboration efforts between IT, the Planning team, and Engineering section SMEs, and review details related to all monthly Preventive Maintenance tasks, following up with planning supervisors on any pending or overdue items. Training sessions for end-users on system usage and providing ongoing support is also part of the role.
The position further includes supporting Quality team members to ensure relevant documents and details are presentable for audits and quality certifications, working closely with engineering teams, the IT department, and software vendors for seamless integration and support, and communicating technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Participation in project planning and contributing to the strategic direction of engineering systems are also essential aspects of the role.
