Position

The Engineering Delivery Manager (EDM) plays a pivotal role as a technical manager throughout the Project Engineering Lifecycle, which involves overseeing development activities, managing risks and opportunities, and controlling schedules. Key responsibilities include structuring the delivery process, mastering technical debt, and facilitating collaborative work among teams and stakeholders. The EDM is committed to providing optimal engineering solutions to customers and ensures the quality of these solutions. This role contributes to the future products of the company and involves working on complex, disruptive projects while translating client needs into actionable requirements to build development strategies.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Conduct all work package activities, including organization, scheduling, effort and budget control, and risk and opportunities management.
  • Manage reviews with the customer, such as PMRs and other relevant assessments.
  • Coordinate with project teams, including system engineering, infrastructure & cyber security, and IVVQ activities.
  • Liaise with the Project Manager and heads of disciplines regarding resources and skills management.
  • Ensure successful coordination of IVVQ activities within work packages.

Work Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years in relevant work package or project management roles.
  • Strong skills in project management techniques such as scheduling, risk management, estimating, progress reporting, and stakeholder management.
  • Proven experience in multi-discipline and multi-cultural environments dealing with complex systems.
  • Proficient in producing IVVQ artifacts, including test and acceptance plans, procedures, and reports.

Competencies

  • Ability to verify technical deliverables from engineering teams, ensuring alignment with customer needs and requirements.
  • Proficient in leading and managing technical engineering projects while clearly identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Skilled at engaging diverse stakeholders and establishing clear, achievable goals.
  • Capable of making decisions in uncertain contexts.

Preferred Domains of Knowledge

  • Expertise in Radio and mission-critical systems (e.g., C2 / C4).
  • Familiarity with large and complex systems.

Qualification, Certification & Educational Requirements

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in positions such as Engineering Manager, IT/Technical Project Manager, or Software Engineering Manager (SwEM).
  • Certification in IPMA or PMP is a plus.
  • Proficient in English and French.
