We are seeking a Golang Backend Lead for our Consumer Platform - Engagement team. In this role, you will be crucial in innovating and enhancing our Consumer Platform solutions, focusing on engagement services and utilizing the latest technology for seamless, scalable, and efficient operations.
Your leadership will focus on driving advancements in our services to provide unmatched advertising experiences for our millions of users. You will lead a multifaceted team of 5-6 engineers, collaborating with designers, analysts, and product specialists to formulate technical strategies, architect system designs, manage projects, and tackle intricate challenges.

Your Responsibilities
- Leadership: Inspire and lead a team of engineers, aligning team objectives with our overarching vision and strategy while fostering a culture of trust and accountability.
- People Development: Nurture talent through continuous coaching and mentoring, ensuring your team is equipped with the skills necessary to achieve its objectives.
- Technical Ownership: Steer technical decision-making for future initiatives and monitor technical health indicators, balancing timely delivery with technical excellence.
- Project Management: Decompose complex tasks into manageable components, manage stakeholder expectations, and uphold project management standards.
- Team Performance: Ensure the team meets its commitments effectively, continuously enhancing efficiency metrics.
- Collaborative Leadership: Work closely with other Squad Leads, Engineering Managers, and the Architecture Board to ensure alignment and cohesive progress.
Your Expertise
- Management Experience: At least 2 years leading an engineering team of 5+ members.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Go Programming: Deep knowledge of the Go language.
- Frameworks: Familiarity with frameworks such as Gin or Echo.
- Databases: Experience with MySQL and NoSQL databases.
- Messaging Systems: Proficient with RabbitMQ and Kafka.
- Container Orchestration: Expertise in Kubernetes.
- Cloud Services: Experience with AWS, GCP, or OCI.
- CI/CD Practices: Practical knowledge of Continuous Integration and Deployment.
- Testing: Understanding of unit, integration, and load testing methodologies.
- Agile/Scrum: Strong grasp of Agile/Scrum practices.
