Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and grow a team of approximately 7 engineers in the Options Engineering team.
- Drive hands-on work in systematic options trading, including automated quoting, execution, risk management, and pricing workflows.
- Own and enhance the existing Rust-native systematic options trading platform.
- Provide technical direction across trading infrastructure, system design, performance, risk controls, and production reliability.
- Collaborate with trading, quant, product, risk, and infrastructure stakeholders to tackle complex engineering and trading system challenges.
- Balance technical leadership with people leadership and operational discipline.
Required Experience:
- 7+ years in systematic trading, options market-making, or low-latency trading systems.
- Proficient in Rust, C++, or C, with a willingness to deepen proficiency in Rust.
- Strong understanding of algorithmic options trading workflows.
- Experience building or maintaining low-latency trading systems in options or derivatives markets.
- Familiarity with SQL databases (PostgreSQL preferred) in production environments.
- Understanding of distributed systems, service boundaries, and production reliability.
- Preferred experience with gRPC and Node.js-based services, as well as crypto exchange connectivity and/or FPGA technologies.

- Pragmatic problem-solver with a focus on system design and implementation.
- Strong communication skills, especially in ambiguous contexts.
- Ownership mindset, especially for production trading systems.
