As an Engineering Lead, you will play a pivotal role in bridging business objectives with technical execution, combining hands-on engineering, architectural leadership, and team enablement. You will ensure delivery excellence by contributing to the codebase, guiding the team technically, and aligning execution with long-term strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the technical point of accountability for the Service Market Making Business Unit.
  • Champion collaboration across teams to ensure alignment between product, design, QA, and engineering.
  • Inspire and develop engineers through mentorship and technical guidance.
  • Partner with the Head of Engineering to own the delivery of work-streams.
  • Contribute to coding, architecture design, and peer reviews.
  • Maintain and uphold engineering best practices and coding guidelines.
  • Manage technical debt and lead refactoring initiatives for operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and QA engineers to define project scope and requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years in a Technical Leadership position with experience in guiding teams and complex project delivery.
  • Advanced proficiency in Rust; knowledge of Node.js and Python is a plus.
  • Experience with high-concurrency, low-latency trading systems.
  • Familiarity with AWS environments, containerization, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies.
  • Strong leadership and mentorship abilities, with excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Additional Information

  • Language Requirements: Fluency in English is required.
  • The successful candidate should ideally be based in the UK or Europe.
