The Engineering Lead will play a critical role that bridges business objectives with technical execution in a hybrid capacity—engaging both in managerial and hands-on engineering tasks. This role ensures delivery excellence through active contribution to the codebase while guiding the engineering team and aligning their efforts with long-term strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the technical point of accountability for the Service Market Making Business Unit.
- Ensure that architecture and engineering decisions meet strategic goals and immediate business needs.
- Foster collaboration among teams, aligning product, design, QA, and engineering efforts.
- Inspire and mentor engineers, promoting skill development and autonomy.
- Engage in coding duties while focusing on system design, peer reviews, and communication across functions.
- Maintain engineering best practices and ensure long-term codebase health.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks and dependencies proactively.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years in a Technical Leadership role with experience guiding teams and driving complex projects.
- Proficiency in Rust; familiar with Node.js (JavaScript/TypeScript) and Python is advantageous.
- Experience with high-concurrency, low-latency trading systems and ultralow-latency AWS environments.
- Understanding of containerization and Kubernetes management, GitOps workflows, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong communication skills and experience working collaboratively across teams.
- Knowledge of finance and trading, particularly in the cryptocurrency sector.
