We are hiring an Engineering Manager for Ceph & Distributed Storage. As an engineering manager, you will be responsible for running an effective team and developing your colleagues. Your experience in technical leadership and software engineering will help you lead and challenge strong engineers, positively influence team culture, and ensure sound software architecture and best practices in software quality, testing, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team to build a Ceph-focused software-defined storage solution.
- Build and manage a globally distributed team of engineers.
- Develop your team through coaching, mentoring, and feedback.
- Contribute to achieving team goals while demonstrating sound engineering principles.
- Establish reasonable schedules with feedback loops for improvement.
- Manage expectations with other engineering teams and external stakeholders.
- Advance modern, agile software development practices.

- Collaborate with other leaders in the organization.
Who You Are:
- You have a software engineering background with experience in Python and C++.
- You have experience operating scale-out storage clusters on Linux, ideally with Ceph.
- You are passionate about embracing new technologies and pushing boundaries.
- You have a track record of developing and growing team members.
- You are interested in building products that enhance software and infrastructure operations.
- You are knowledgeable about software development and enjoy mentoring others.
- You have solid experience working in an agile development environment.
