Engineering Manager

As an Engineering Manager based in Dubai, you will be responsible for setting the technical direction for your team's domain and leading a team of engineers who deliver end-to-end solutions. Your role encompasses guiding discovery, planning, and execution to ensure your team delivers value swiftly and with quality. You will mentor and grow your engineers, focusing on continuous improvement every quarter while managing stakeholders and dependencies effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and manage the technical direction of your team's domain within the broader architecture of the company.
• Lead a team that utilizes AI tools in their daily workflow.
• Ensure delivery of high-quality products while maintaining availability, scalability, latency, and monitoring standards.
• Directly mentor engineers to enhance their skills and performance.
• Proactively manage stakeholder relationships and project dependencies.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 6 years experience in software engineering, including building production systems end to end.
• At least 2 years of experience in people management and technical leadership.
• Generalist approach to technology, with experience across various parts of the stack.
• Proficiency with AI-integrated tools and practices.
• Familiarity with distributed systems and cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
• Proven track record of continuous delivery practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
