Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and support a cross-functional team of engineers delivering growth-critical systems and features.
- Collaborate daily with Product and Design to define scope, set priorities, and ensure seamless execution.
- Maintain project momentum through clear expectations, realistic estimates, and transparent communication with stakeholders.
- Provide technical guidance to help engineers make sound architectural and implementation decisions.
- Foster a culture of accountability and trust, promoting team growth and autonomy.
- Improve team processes and collaboration across time zones.
- Partner with other engineering leaders to ensure consistency and best practices in the Growth organization.
- Stay hands-on in the codebase and set the quality and reliability standards.
Skills Required:
- Experience leading engineering teams and delivering high-quality results.
- Strong people leadership skills, with a focus on coaching and empowering team members.
- Solid technical foundation in backend development, with proficiency in modern programming languages (e.g., TypeScript, Rust, Go, Python).
- High proficiency in modern AI-driven development practices.
- Experience in distributed and remote-first teams.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- A product mindset that prioritizes user impact and key metrics.
Language Requirements:
Familiarity with one or more modern programming languages is necessary. Awareness of various languages is encouraged, as employees speak over 50 languages globally.
