Engineering Manager - I

We are seeking an Engineering Manager I for one of our core engineering teams. In this pivotal role, you will lead a team focused on developing and enhancing our payment solutions, ensuring the delivery of high-quality features that define our unique customer experiences. Drawing from your expertise in software development and team leadership, you will provide technical direction, foster a culture of quality, and drive the execution of your team’s roadmap.

Responsibilities:

• Leadership: Inspire and motivate a team of 4-6 engineers, aligning their goals with the company vision and cultivating an environment of trust.
• People Development: Coach and mentor your team to foster talent and provide growth opportunities, offering frequent constructive feedback.
• Technical Contribution & Ownership: Maintain a strong understanding of the team’s software architecture and lead technical decision-making alongside senior engineers.
• Execution & Delivery: Plan and manage your team’s execution of roadmap commitments, breaking down complex topics into manageable tasks.
• Team Performance: Accountable for on-time delivery, refining processes for improved effectiveness and alignment with organizational goals.
• Collaboration: Partner with product and business leadership to drive alignment between technical goals and product priorities.

Your Expertise:

• 1-3 years of experience in an engineering leadership role (Team Lead, Tech Lead, or Engineering Manager) with a team of at least 4 engineers.
• Strong technical background in software development (Java, Go, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Messaging Queues, Cloud Services).
• Motivation to work in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.
• Good understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
• Fintech/eCommerce experience is a plus.
