Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the delivery of large-scale technical projects, ensuring high-quality outputs.
- Develop and implement plans to identify and mitigate technical and business risks.
- Participate in customer meetings and project review sessions as needed.
- Create and manage financial plans and budgets for the engineering unit.
- Evaluate systemic improvements to overall design processes, particularly with HV GIS technology.
- Monitor and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for engineering workstreams.
- Drive Lean engineering initiatives to improve policies and procedures within the engineering function.
- Ensure the engineering team is well-equipped with necessary tools and training for complex GIS projects.
- Maintain communication and collaboration with cross-functional partners, including Project Management, Quality, Production, and Sales.
- Oversee compliance with international standards and internal guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in the Engineering function, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English; additional language skills in Arabic are considered a plus.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Knowledge of High Voltage Equipment and Gas Insulated Switchgear is essential.
- Familiarity with Substation design is advantageous.
