As an Engineering Manager, you will lead the MAAS team, responsible for developing our hyperscale provisioning technology. This role requires experience in high-quality software development, team leadership, and strong familiarity with Linux on physical servers, Linux storage, and data center networking.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading a distributed team of engineers while focusing on talent development through coaching and mentoring.
- Setting expectations with other engineering teams and stakeholders.
- Advocating for modern software development practices, participating in code and architectural reviews, and engaging with the broader community.
- Traveling for company events twice a year.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or a related field.
- Proven experience delivering software using Python, Golang, or similar languages.
- Experience with Linux system administration (Debian or Ubuntu preferred).
- Familiarity with cloud computing technologies, including networking, storage, containers, and Kubernetes.
- Professional written and spoken English skills.
- Experience with agile software development methodologies.
- Ability to mentor and develop team members.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with Typescript and modern web frameworks (React, Angular, Svelte, or Vue).
- Knowledge of data center infrastructure management and design.
