We are expanding the MAAS (Metal as a Service) team and seeking an experienced Engineering Manager. This role is centered on building and managing private bare-metal infrastructure, providing a cloud-style on-demand API for physical server provisioning, network configuration, and storage.

Location: Dubai, Dubai, United Arab Emirates (Remote)
Work Conditions: Full-time, Remote, with travel required (4 to 6 weeks per year)
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a distributed team of engineers within your time zone.
- Develop talent through coaching, mentoring, and feedback.
- Manage expectations with other engineering teams and stakeholders.
- Advocate for and advance modern software development practices.
- Participate in the engineering process through code and architectural reviews.
- Engage with internal teams, the open-source community, and partners.
- Travel to internal and external global events for up to two weeks twice a year.
Key Qualifications:
- Exceptional academic track record and an undergraduate degree in a technical subject.
- Proficiency in English, with excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- Experience with Linux (preferably Debian or Ubuntu).
- Strong leadership abilities and commitment to skills development.
- Familiarity with modern Linux cloud computing technologies (networking, storage, containers, Kubernetes).
- Programming experience in Python and Go; nice-to-have experience in Typescript using modern web frameworks.
