About the Job:

We are hiring an Engineering Manager to expand the MAAS (Metal as a Service) team. Our mission with MAAS is to provide the best solution for building and running private bare-metal infrastructure, offering a cloud-style on-demand API for physical server provisioning, network configuration, and storage.

As an Engineering Manager, you will lead a distributed team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. You will play a key role in reshaping the future of data center technology through open source management platforms. Your responsibilities will include talent development through coaching and mentoring, setting and managing expectations with stakeholders, advocating for modern software development practices, and participating in the engineering process.

Work Conditions:

  • Full-time, remote position available in EMEA or the Americas
  • Travel required for 4 to 6 weeks per year for internal and external global events

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science
  • Professional written and spoken English, with excellent presentation skills
  • Proven experience delivering software using Python, Golang, or similar languages
  • Experience with Linux system administration (Debian or Ubuntu preferred)
  • Familiarity with modern Linux cloud computing technologies, including networking, storage, containers, and Kubernetes
  • Ability to mentor and support team members
  • Willingness to travel internationally twice a year for company events

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience with TypeScript and modern web frameworks (e.g., React, Angular)
  • Knowledge of data center infrastructure management and design
