Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a distributed team of engineers and overseeing the MLOps/Analytics portfolio.
- Organizing and leading team processes to achieve objectives.
- Conducting one-on-one meetings with team members and identifying team health indicators.
- Interacting with a vibrant community and attending conferences to represent Canonical's MLOps solutions.
- Mentoring direct reports and assisting them in achieving professional goals.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in software delivery and professional Python development, ideally with open-source projects.
- Understanding of machine learning concepts, including the design and implementation of MLOps solutions.
- A solid academic background, with evidence of high achievement.
Preferred Skills:
- Hands-on experience with machine learning libraries or tools.
- Experience in building automated machine learning solutions for the cloud.
- Familiarity with container technologies like Docker, LXD, Kubernetes, and public cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- A passion for software quality and testing.
Language Requirements: Candidates should be fluent in English.
