Your role involves working closely with other Engineering Managers, product managers, and architects to produce an engineering roadmap with ambitious yet achievable goals. Key responsibilities include managing a distributed team of engineers and its MLOps/Analytics portfolio, organizing and leading team processes to achieve objectives, conducting one-on-one meetings with team members to identify team health indicators, mentoring and growing direct reports, participating in code reviews, and attending conferences to represent Canonical.
Key Qualifications:
- Proven experience in software delivery and professional Python development, preferably in open-source.
- A solid understanding of the machine learning landscape and experience designing and implementing MLOps solutions.
- Exceptional academic track record.
- Willingness to travel up to 4 times a year for internal events.
Additional Skills (Preferred):
- Experience with machine learning libraries and tools.
- Background in building highly automated machine learning solutions for the cloud.
- Familiarity with container technologies (Docker, LXD, Kubernetes).
- Experience with public clouds (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and Linux/open-source software.
