As the Engineering Manager of the Mobile Platform, you will own the direction, delivery, and operational excellence of all mobile engineering across Property Finder. You will lead a high-performing team of Android and iOS engineers, foster a culture of experimentation and velocity, and partner closely with product, design, and business stakeholders to deliver best-in-class, resilient app experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Set the vision and technical direction for all mobile app development; drive mobile architecture that supports rapid new feature development, seamless experimentation, and scalable UI flows.
- Operational Excellence: Monitor and minimize app crashes, elevate performance, and ensure operational health using robust metrics, tools, and incident processes. Champion best practices such as code reviews, QA, CI/CD, automation, and disciplined app store release management.
- Stakeholder Management & Communication: Act as the voice of mobile across the organization, balancing user needs and business goals while driving consensus and transparency in cross-team initiatives and launches.
- Team Leadership & Development: Recruit, develop, and mentor top Android/iOS engineering talent, fostering an environment of innovation, ownership, and psychological safety; coach clear objectives and enable career progression.
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of professional software development experience, with significant time building mobile apps (Android and/or iOS).
- Minimum 3 years in a people management or engineering leadership role, ideally leading cross-functional mobile teams.
- Deep knowledge of mobile app architecture patterns, build and release processes, performance optimization, crash analytics, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong stakeholder management skills — able to balance multiple priorities and communicate effectively with product, design, business, and partner teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in consumer-facing platforms, marketplaces, or classifieds is a plus.
- Exposure to AI/ML-driven mobile experiences and mobile-first personalization strategies.
- Familiarity with regional market specifics in MENA or similar emerging markets is an advantage.
