Bechtel Corporation is seeking an Engineering Manager for the Expo 2030 Riyadh project, a global platform focused on sustainable development, innovation, and transformative thinking. The Engineering Manager will report to the Technical Director and will coordinate the design with a team of multi-disciplinary technical specialists, ensuring the delivery of the detailed master plan and infrastructure design. Key responsibilities include:
- Full technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating the infrastructure design delivery.
- Support the design consultant in developing Engineering Management Plans & Procedures.
- Managing the engineering progress and performance measurements.
- Leading reviews of design deliverables while considering constructability, value engineering, and safety.
- Coordinating with project stakeholders and conducting presentations as required.
- Overseeing timely delivery of all design submissions and assisting with project capital estimates.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) with a minimum of 15-20 years of relevant experience.
- At least 8 years managing design consultants; preferred experience of 5-10 years managing consultants in their design offices.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong experience in creating and leading teams, along with organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Proven leadership abilities and experience fostering teamwork across multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work under pressure with changing priorities and deadlines.
- Previous experience in the Middle East is highly preferred.
Language Requirements:
- Proficiency in English is required; additional language skills may be beneficial.
