As an engineering manager, you need to bring both technical and management skills to the leadership of your team. You will be responsible for ensuring the stability and functionality that our cloud users expect. Key responsibilities include automating the delivery of existing and new Ubuntu image products and supporting the growth and development of your team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and lead a team of engineers
- Develop talent through coaching, mentoring, and hands-on career development
- Set and manage expectations with other engineering teams and stakeholders
- Lead modern, agile software development practices
- Ensure a healthy, collaborative engineering culture
- Build automated, reliable image delivery, testing, and publication pipelines
Who You Are:
- You love to mentor and develop people
- Knowledgeable and passionate about software development
- Focused on delivering high-quality software
- Experienced in agile development methodologies
- Hold a Bachelor's or equivalent degree in Computer Science, STEM, or similar
- Proficient in Python or Golang
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Practical experience with at least one of Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, or AWS
Language Requirements: Effective communication skills in English (verbal and written).
