We are seeking an Engineering Manager - Python and K8s who is enthusiastic about fostering a world-class DevOps culture within corporate information systems. This team will focus on productizing workloads for real-time automated operations on Kubernetes, transforming our internal IS team into an extension of product engineering. As an engineering manager, you will lead a local team and ensure high availability of Canonical's services globally, emphasizing sound software architecture and engineering best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work from home with the possibility of global travel (up to 20%).

Who You Are:

  • Experience in Docker and Kubernetes operations.
  • Background in software engineering with strong Python expertise.
  • Skilled in developing Python frameworks and understanding stable, consumable APIs.
  • Passionate about software development and embracing new technologies.
  • Focused on creating products that enhance operational software and infrastructure.
  • Experienced in developing and nurturing talent in an agile context.
