We are looking for an Engineering Manager - Python and K8s who is passionate about enhancing the experiences of running complex business operations. You will transform the internal IS team into an extension of Canonical's product engineering capability, focusing on productizing workloads for real-time automated operations on Kubernetes.
Location: Jiddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia (Remote)
Work Conditions:
- Remote position with global travel up to 20% for internal and external events

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team focused on productizing business workloads
- Build and manage a regional team of engineers
- Develop team members through coaching, mentoring, and feedback
- Directly contribute to your team's goals by demonstrating sound engineering practices
- Set reasonable schedules and manage expectations with other engineering teams and external stakeholders
- Maintain a culture of quality and engineering excellence
- Collaborate with other leaders in the organization
Who You Are:
- Experienced in Docker and Kubernetes operations
- Background in software engineering with proven Python experience
- Skilled in developing Python frameworks and understanding the importance of stable consumable APIs
- Passionate about new technologies and improving operational methods
- Committed to developing and growing team members
- Knowledgeable about software development and experienced in an agile development environment
Language Requirements:
Fluency in English.
