Key Responsibilities:
- Build and lead a distributed engineering team through hiring, coaching, mentoring, and career development.
- Contribute directly to team goals utilizing sound engineering principles.
- Set and manage expectations with other engineering teams, senior management, and external stakeholders.
- Advocate for modern, agile software development practices.
- Contribute to a healthy and collaborative engineering culture.
- Collaborate with other leaders in the organization and participate actively in the leadership team.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in embedded software development.
- Strong skills in Golang, C++, and Shell.
- Solid understanding of Linux and familiarity with Debian or Ubuntu distributions.
- Experience in coaching and developing team members.
- Ability to plan and execute the delivery of high-quality software in a timely manner.
- Experience in agile development environments.
- Excellent written and spoken English skills, with strong presentation abilities.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Familiarity with immutable Linux distributions, preferably Ubuntu Core.
- Experience with multiple CPU architectures such as ARM and RISC-V.
- Knowledge of Linux native containerization and security.
Language Requirement:
Professional written and spoken English.
