We are seeking an Engineering Program Manager with curiosity, drive, independence, and leadership skills. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing projects for consumer software and machine learning solutions and will be instrumental in shaping Cohere’s operations. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with leading experts in the large language model (LLM) space and work alongside Platform, Product, and Marketing teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate: Provide clear and timely communication across the tech organization and with external partners.
- Optimize: Break down complex issues into strategies while driving engineering alignment with product, business, and marketing.
- Plan: Create and manage project schedules, identify dependencies, manage risks, and ensure organizational alignment.
- Execute: Ensure timely delivery, identify development needs, and set up checkpoints for status updates.
- Problem Solve: Proactively identify and resolve issues, coordinate cross-functional dependencies, and prioritize impacts to schedule and product quality.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Engineering or Technical Program Manager, with at least 1 year in LLM training or optimization for a consumer product.
- Fluent in both English and Arabic.
- Detail-oriented and self-organized.
- Strong ability to enable teams, capture detailed notes during technical meetings, and track progress.
- Execution-focused with a strong bias for action.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams to ship technical products or solutions.
- Comfortable holding team members accountable while maintaining diplomacy.
