The Engineering Test Coordinator role is essential for coordinating engineering activities related to the testing and evaluation of vehicles and vehicle systems. This position involves collaboration with assigned team members and the team leader, focusing on executing within the agreed scope of work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation of electrical test and evaluation plans concerning processes, procedures, costs, and schedules for vehicle and sub-system testing.
  • Plan resources and report on the progress of test activities as per agreed schedules.
  • Execute test requirements, gather and analyze data, and generate comprehensive reports.
  • Maintain current test equipment and software.
  • Design, develop, or acquire new specialized equipment and test methods to support testing requirements.
  • Collaborate with team members on electrical designs, technical solutions, and faultfinding.
  • Advise, guide, and provide support to other departments as needed.
  • Stay informed on emerging industry trends regarding vehicle and sub-system testing and technology.
  • Operate within the limits of authority defined by the Engineering Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronic) or equivalent professional experience may be considered.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience is required.
  • Proven experience with vehicle electrical and electronic systems in defense or off-highway industries.
  • Familiarity with data acquisition systems (National Instruments/Somat/Siemens SCADA/eDAQ).
  • Knowledge of high-speed video and tracking software, preferably TEMA software.
  • Understanding of the OXTS suite of data acquisition systems.
  • Proficient in engineering data analysis tools such as MATLAB and Python.
