The Enterprise Architect role at the company is responsible for designing enterprise-wide architecture solutions that align with corporate banking and risk management strategies. This role involves collaboration with Wholesale Banking business leaders, subject matter experts, and IT leadership to develop technology roadmaps and create necessary architecture artifacts for Wholesale Banking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with management to define the technology roadmap and strategic initiatives.
- Provide thought leadership to deliver on the company’s Wholesale business strategy, making strategic technology decisions.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions.
- Ensure the current and future needs of the Wholesale Banking Line-of-Business are met sustainably.
- Develop and maintain enterprise architecture for corporate banking and risk management systems.
- Design and oversee implementation of scalable technology solutions for corporate banking operations.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with technology solutions to ensure compliance.
- Engage with business leaders, IT teams, and partners to gather requirements and provide guidance.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of Enterprise-wide Architecture.
- Define current and future state architectures focusing on business needs.
- Implement architectural standards as necessary.
- Develop Enterprise Architecture artifacts, including roadmaps and frameworks.
- Advise on Enterprise Architecture services and design associated processes.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
- In-depth knowledge of Wholesale banking and global transaction banking.
- Familiarity with EA frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, and BIAN.
- Knowledge of integration and business process management standards.
- Experience in software development/design with integration technologies.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Enterprise Architecture tools (e.g., IBM System Architect, ServiceNow).
- Understanding of Cloud concepts and architecture.
- Awareness of DevOps and Agile development concepts as applicable to banking IT.
Language Requirements:
Excellent communication skills in English.
