About the Job
The Enterprise Architect is the most senior customer-facing architecture role within Oracle and is critical to the relationship between the customer and Oracle. The Enterprise Architect acts as a bridge between the needs of the customer and the solutions and services that Oracle may bring to bear to deliver value to the customer. This role provides leadership within Oracle across the various lines of business to ensure that Oracle’s value offerings to the customer are feasible, consistent, effective, and aligned to customer needs.

The primary role is to inspire business transformation by aligning an organization's industry-specific strategic objectives with its operating model, processes, and capabilities. Enterprise Architects work to break down opportunities for transformation into phased, value-based recommendations. They possess extensive knowledge of IT architectures across all layers and functional domains as well as various industries.

Enterprise Architects work closely with clients, assessing their current processes and capabilities, and providing recommendations to mature them in line with organizational strategy. They typically engage with senior-level stakeholders, such as the CIO, Chief Architect, or CTO, to build strong strategic architecture relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the delivery of value to customers by advocating for business-driven enterprise architectures to support applications solutions.
  • Support account teams in large-scale opportunities and engage in activities to generate customer interest.
  • Collaborate with other Oracle lines of business to create comprehensive architecture solutions.
  • Provide recommendations on process, capability, and technology changes to enable client strategy realization.
  • Develop actionable roadmaps for the adoption of new technologies and business applications.
  • Conduct workshops on strategy, architecture, and planning.
  • Provide assessments of current state architecture and recommendations for future state architecture.
  • Create enterprise blueprints, including Business Model Canvases and Customer Journey Maps.
  • Define and evolve architecture standards and principles.
  • Lead the architecture and solution design for engagements, ensuring high-quality integrated cross-domain business solutions.
  • Stay informed of relevant architectural programs and assets globally and maintain knowledge of product developments from Oracle and competitors.

Requirements

  • Strategic and outcome-based mindset with ERP experience; GRP (Government ERP) is crucial.
  • Expertise in the public sector (Government, Healthcare, education).
  • Proficient in Enterprise Architecture methods and modern IT architectures.
  • Broad cross-functional IT knowledge, detailed business acumen, and understanding of customer business lifecycles.
  • Skilled in business process design and consulting, with strong facilitation, consensus building, change management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • A degree in Computer Science or a related IT field, along with 10+ years of relevant experience as a lead Enterprise Architect, CTO, or Head of Architecture.
  • Proven expertise in SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, and digital transformation.
  • Holistic understanding of cloud solutions and their use cases, and ability to craft strategic solutions.
  • Knowledge of architecture frameworks such as TOGAF and Oracle’s architecture frameworks.
