The Security Architect is responsible for designing, governing, and continuously evolving the organization’s security architecture across IT, applications, and data platforms. This role ensures that security is embedded into all technology solutions by defining security principles, reference architectures, and technology roadmaps that enable the business while protecting critical assets, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting mission-critical operations.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-wide security architecture to align with business and regulatory requirements.
- Design, implement, and govern security architectures for IT systems (On-Prem and Cloud), applications, networks, and databases.
- Conduct threat modeling, vulnerability analysis, and architecture risk assessments to identify gaps and drive remediation.
- Develop and maintain security architecture standards, reference architectures, and technology roadmaps.
- Define and apply information security principles such as defense-in-depth, zero trust, and secure-by-design across all platforms and projects.
- Oversee the deployment of core security technologies including SIEM, IAM, endpoint protection, and network security.
- Provide security architecture leadership and consult with IT, engineering, satellite, and application teams throughout the system development lifecycle.
- Ensure solutions meet regulatory and compliance requirements such as UAE IA, ISO 27001, and NIST standards.
- Partner with security programs to implement security roadmaps and technology capabilities.
- Act as a trusted advisor to business and technology stakeholders on secure system design.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 15+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 3–5 years in security architecture or cloud security architecture.
- Strong experience in designing and securing cloud platforms (e.g., Azure), on-premises infrastructure, applications, and mission-critical systems.
- Deep understanding of cloud security architecture, Zero Trust, and identity and access management.
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks like ISO 27001 and NIST.
- Proven ability to translate security strategy into enterprise architecture and implementation roadmaps.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
Certifications:
Certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CISM, TOGAF, or cloud security certifications are highly desirable.
