About the Job
We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist, specializing in data center builds throughout the data center lifecycle. This position involves supporting the construction of our server infrastructure and ensuring safety processes are in place to meet Oracle's internal and statutory requirements. The role is dynamic, requiring participation in multiple calls across diverse geographic locations. As the Subject Matter Expert, you will support the Project Managers in ensuring compliance with statutory and internal requirements. Candidates must be adept at navigating rapidly changing work scopes and lead EHS discussions with experience and expertise.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement processes across multifunctional teams to meet EHS goals
- Ensure compliance with Oracle’s standards and local, federal, or regional statutory requirements
- Review and thoroughly analyze EHS documentation
- Support notification, reporting, escalation, and resolution of EHS risks, incidents, and findings
- Monitor company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with regulations
- Review EHS schematic plans, systems, and documentation related to:
- Electrical Safety
- Control of Hazardous Energy (Lockout/Tagout)
- Occupational Noise Control
- Exposure Assessment (Industrial Hygiene)
- Emergency Response Planning
- Working at Heights
- Confined Space Entry
- Heavy Material Handling
- Powered Industrial Trucks (Forklifts)
- Cranes/Rigging
- Trenching & Excavation
- Fire/Life Safety
- Mobile Elevated Work Platforms
- Hazardous Substances Handling
- Waste Management
- Risk Assessment and Hazard Mitigation
- Permit to Work processes
- Root Cause Analysis
- High Risk Activity Management
Requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree; preference for a Master’s in health and safety, industrial hygiene, risk, or associated science fields
- At least 6 years of experience in data center construction
- Certification such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST), or Construction Health and Safety Technologist (CHST)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience engaging and influencing cross-functional stakeholders
- Experience in interpreting and implementing standards and processes related to mission-critical project delivery
- Ability to work with diverse groups across multiple time zones and countries
- Proficient in MS Office Tools
- Strong project and relationship management skills
- Detail-oriented with strong critical thinking skills and the ability to adapt to ambiguity and consistent change
